Compared to carpets from the Ganja-Gazakh group, Garabagh carpets are generally more complex in their composition. They often feature intricate geometric and floral patterns and are characterized by their use of colors like golden yellow, red, scarlet, chestnut, and pink.

Garabagh carpets are woven using the Turkish knot technique, resulting in large, long carpets. Although the knots in Garabagh carpets are of medium and low density, they are known for their strength and thickness.
